Dr Birkett is eminently qualified to write such a book, being a Christian and a scientist, with a PhD in History and Philosophy of Science.

This book is a short and easy read, but bear in mind that it is only an introduction to the topic.  It will not answer all the questions you might have about the area.  However all is not lost as Birkett has written or edited other such books on related topics, also published by Matthias Media, including The Essence of Darwinism.
