Faith in Action

Faith in Action takes an in-depth look at:

* Faith in the Church—questions of contemporary faith, enculturation and ecclesiology, and the vision of the Church for the twenty-first century and beyond.
* Faith in the Public Square—the growing understanding within faith communities and beyond of the vital role they can play within the public sphere, as a partner in development and ethical living, alongside government, business and wider civil society.
* Faith in Africa—the role of Christians and other faith communities in mission and nation building, both in post-apartheid South and Southern Africa, and beyond.
* Faith and the World—the role of the church and other faith communities in global issues, including poverty, aid, and debt.

Contributors include the Archbishop of Canterbury; Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu; Frank Griswold, retired Presiding Bishop of The Episcopal Church (USA); Denise Ackermann; Adekeye Adebajo; Allan Boesak; Margaret Legum; Ishmael Noko, General Secretary of the World Lutheran Federation; Mamphela Ramphele, and newer voices such as Nangula Kathindi.
