Seasons of Comfort and Joy

God’s Word, the Bible, is the guidebook to life for all people. It is the ‘measuring rod’ or standard by which we live out our lives before God, the Creator of all things. In it, God reveals himself to us and teaches us about ourselves and the world around us. God’s Word is vital in revealing the truth to each of us; only the Bible teaches us how sinful people can ever be reconciled to a holy God.

In these warm, Christ-centred poems, Anne Standfield demonstrates her joy in the truths of God’s Word, sharing her experiences of God and the knowledge of his Word with others with a view that they, with her, ‘may know him better’ (Ephesians 1:17). All the poems have been based solely upon Scripture with the aim that each reader may come to know the only true God and Jesus Christ, his Son, whom he has sent as our Saviour. This is the only way to eternal life (John 17:3)
