Can We Pray for Revival?

There are many religious experiences among Christians that bear little resemblance to anything taught in the Bible. Yet, across the world today Christians are pleading with God for an outpouring of his Holy Spirit in revival – but what is their authority for praying as they do?

• Is revival a certainty because God has committed himself to sending it to us?
• And if so, when?
• Or is it a probability providing we fulfil the right conditions?
• Or is it simply a possibility in the light of his character and the way that he has dealt with his people in the past?
