HIV/Aids, Poverty and Pastoral Care and

Vhumani Magezi contributed and edited the book ‘Pastoral care in tension between tradition and modernity: Pastoral ministry and biblical response to challenges of fear of death, fear of spirits and hospitality in Africa’ German (Lambert Academic Publishing, 2010). He has also written over 27 HIV and AIDS related research reports and over 9 academic articles. He is currently an Executive Director of an HIV and AIDS NGO, Research Fellow for the University of South Africa and North-West University, Editorial Board Member of Practical Theology of South Africa (PTSA), and Executive Committee Member (Treasurer) of the African Association for Pastoral Studies and Counselling (AAPSC). His research and publications focus on Pastoral Care and Counselling; HIV & AIDS church responses, Pastoral Counselling diagnosis in Africa, African Spirituality in Counselling, and Church and development.
