The Jesus Way

Peter uses two chapters, Luke 24 and Acts 2, to spell out the priorities of the Risen Jesus and how the apostles responded. From Luke he draws the following themes: Enjoy Jesus’ Resurrection; Receive His Forgiveness; Welcome His Spirit; Feed on his Scriptures; Receive his Sacrament; Tell others his Good News. The parallel themes from Acts: Share with Jesus’ People; Worship him always; Follow his teaching; Live his life; Resist his enemies; Trust Jesus for the future. The originality of this idea lies partly in its neat focus on two representative chapters, and partly in the intended presentation which will follow the same successful pattern of The Hitch-Hiker’s Guide to the Bible, with wide margins, pull out boxes etc.
